Interview with MELVIN XAVIER
| Melvin Xavier is one of the Directors at a leading Freight company – Golden Cargo Services (GCS) in Dubai. Over the 16 years in the industry, he helped the company grow from a small family business to a large group with offices today in Dubai, Kuwait, Cochin, Malaysia and Singapore. He is also the Co-Founder and Director of a specialist Freight Network called Cold Chain Connect. That is the world’s first and only freight network for forwarders that specialize in perishables and food logistics. In 2019, he was humbled to be featured in the Super 100- Next Generation of Busines Leaders and Young Entrepreneurs in the Middle East and Africa. Besides, he has served on the Board of a non-profit Freight Network called Cargo Partners Network from 2017-2019. He completed his FIATA Diploma from NAFL in 2018 and was honored to graduate with the first-ever batch of students in UAE. He has a Bachelor’s degree from the American University in Dubai with a double major in Accounting and Finance. In his time in the industry, he has spoken at several conferences and events and hosted Cold Chain Connect’s first conference in Macau in Oct. 2019. |

We host annual conferences for our members to build personal relationships with each other and develop synergies within the network. Last October 7-10, 2019, we successfully hosted our inaugural launch together with 40+ perishable forwarders in MGM Cotai, Macau. This year, we will be holding our first ever Virtual Conference on December 8-10, 2020, with over 90+ perishable freight forwarders expected to attend.
To further showcase the network in the global logistics scene, we also participate in leading logistics exhibitions such as: Fruit Logistica Berlin, Asia Fruit Logistica, Gulfood, FIATA World Congress and The Freight Summit.
