Why does the serious “Container Shortage” problem happen?
Recently the container shortage grows into an urgent dilemma not only for the logistics businesses but also affects manufacturers, trading companies and retail. Many countries restricted economics during the lockdown. The pace of cargo handling was decreased generated by reduced port labours and by shutting down the factories. As a result, many containers were held at the port. Also, shipping lines limited ships to secure the cost. Otherwise, they would be loss-making if they continue to send vessels without cargo.
