GEFCO, a world leader in multimodal supply chain solutions and a leading European logistics provider in the automotive industry, is forming a new strategic cluster. In December 2020, Hungary joined the existing Czech-Slovak grouping. Aleksander Raczynski, the current CEO of the GEFCO Czech Republic and Slovakia, will take over the management of the new unit. While the connection between the Czech and Slovak branches was logical in terms of the history of both countries, their almost identical business culture and position in local markets. Hungary joins the group as the youngest and smallest branch with a narrower portfolio of services currently offered. The aim of the new multinational unit is, in addition to sharing know-how and the breadth of the portfolio of services provided in all three markets, to strengthen the unit’s position in international tenders and increase buying power, which will be reflected in increasing the competitiveness of individual logistics solutions of clients.
