Qatar Airways Cargo receives IATA’s CEIV Pharma certification
| For the airlines and carriers, 2020 was a tough year although Qatar Airways Cargo remained to be creative, agile and robust. It has proven to be a major large carrier that aims to provide support for global trade by continue on passenger and freighter flights and transport critical assistance to pandemic-induced regions. Qatar Airways Cargo has been awarded IATA’s Centre of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) certification in pharmaceutical logistics. By creating an internationally standardized and accepted Pharmaceutical Management Credential, CEIV Pharma is an industry-level standard that responds to the industry’s necessary for more protection, safety, enforcement and performance. This success demonstrates the airline’s experience and structured manipulation of pharmacy drugs and life science products. The certification includes the activities of Qatar Airways Cargo, its rigorous QMS and supplier management systems at Doha. The IATA CEIV Pharma certification for its pharmaceuticals handling and warehouse was also obtained by the airline’s ground operations partner Qatar Aviation Services Cargo at Hamad International Airport in Qatar.
