MSC ship suffers severe gash while berthing in Turkey
Ultra-large container ship MSC Tina (19,224 teu) suffered a significant allision with a pier in Ambarli, Turkey on Saturday, March 27th while the ship was maneuvering to berth. The 398.5m long ship has a sizeable gash along its port side while the pier at Ambarli Port reported significant damage. There are no injuries or pollution reported, however, the cause of the incident is under investigation. The MSC ship was moved to a port anchorage later where it remains today. The port of Ambarli is located on the northern shores of the Sea of Marmara about 26 km southwest from Istanbul, serving the greater Istanbul metropolitan area. Read more here👇👇👇 |
