Open locker network with Cleveron’s private home lockers
Latvian state postal service company Latvijas Pasts says it is building a home parcel locker network in Latvia, which will be open to all service providers and will use lockers created by the technology company Cleveron. The lockers accept mail, parcels, and groceries and are operated simply via an app. The first units are due to be installed already in August. Due to the immense growth of home deliveries, companies are pushed to innovate. This initiative is aiming to deliver items to the customers in the most convenient way. The advantages could be described in 3 words: convenience, as they do need to wait for a courier at home, security as the locker, can be only opened by the owner, and simplicity because they are easy-to-use. The home parcel lockers will allow customers to receive virtually any postal or courier items, parcels, and groceries thanks to their size – 44 standard-size shoe boxes or five fully filled large standard food bags can fit in the parcel.
