Impending Warning Strikes in the Ports Hamburg and Bremerhaven
An impending strike in the German ports of Hamburg and Bremerhaven occurred. As a result, no container ships could be loaded or unloaded during the late shift. Bremerhaven is the second largest German port. In the strike, around 1,000 employees took part. “The bridges are all standing still,” said Tobias Uelschen from the Verdi union. Car loading was also affected. Warning strikes may occur in the coming days before the next round of wage negotiations with the German trade union VERDI, which will take place on 10.06.2022.
