New Train Connection between METRANS Terminals in Czech and Slovak Republic
| As part of the continuous development and optimization of the METRANS network, a new train connection between METRANS Ostrava in the Czech Republic and Dunajská Streda in Slovakia terminals has been recently launched. |
| On 18 March 2023, we successfully dispatched a test train on this section and we can affirm that the results were positive. The biggest advantage is the optimization/acceleration of the transit time of shipments heading from/to Dunajská Streda in connection with the new Turkey, Gdańsk services and also for the Koper – Poland service. This new connection is one of the next successful steps toward the expansion of the current METRANS network connections. |
