All-women Indian pilot crew make history

An all-female Indian pilot team made history, following an Indian national airline’s longest non-stop commercial flight ever.

On January 11, 2021, as stated by the airline, the Air India team of four cockpit crewmembers completed the 17-hour flight.

The aviation division in India has invested massively in the coaching of pilot women. As claimed by the Aviation Center, nearly 12 percent of pilots in the country are women – the highest number worldwide.
